Left Turn

Left arm and pointing finger straight out in the direction of the Turn.

Right Turn

Left Arm, bent into a 90 degree’s with thumb pointing in direction of Turn

Slow Down

Left hand at a 45 degree angle from the body with palm facing behind you and fingers spread and extended outward

Stop!

Left arm bent at a 90 degree with clenched fist pointing downward

Need to Stop

With the left fist, place it on top of your helmet, hold this position. This notifies the group that you need to stop.

Gravel in Intersection

With either arm, before making a turn the Road Captain will circle his arm and hand indicating lose gravel or debris

Single File

With the left arm extended upward and the index finger pointing the group will position themselves behind the Road Captain.

Back to Staggered Formation.

Left arm extend and small finger and thumb extended with a half rotation back and forth.

Debris to the Left

Left arm extended to a 45 degree angle with a finger pointing downward. Letting the group know of pending obstacle.

Debris to the Right

With the right foot extended outward from the body with toes pointing. Letting the group know of pending obstacle.

Tighten Formation

Part 1

Left arm extended outward and upward the person would spread their hand and fingers fully open.

Part 2

And hold, then making a fist. Hold then open and hold, close and hold. This is mainly used in a small town or city at slower speeds.
